Andrea, a special person, a naive wood artist

Andrea, artista naif del legno

Andrea, now 81, is part of the history of my workshop.

His uncle worked with my master in the 1950s, and as a boy, he would go to their workshop after
school.

He later worked in a museum, but in his free afternoons he would help his uncle, who had
moved into the workshop next door to mine.

His naive hobby began with reproducing architectural facades on small wooden panels.

Then there are miniature furniture models, Pinocchio figurines, and wooden paintings.

He also enjoys going to markets and finding unique old objects and bringing them back to the
workshop because they keep him company.

He has a workshop full of his own works and incredible things.

He comes to this fantastic environment for two or three hours in the morning, purely for his own
pleasure.

And every time I have students in my workshop, I am delighted to take them to visit this fascinating
place.
